Sink or Swim?

For those of us competing in GODAI this year, it's a simple question- sink or swim? Among my many weaknesses, swimming included, I have decided to see it head on- crash course collision if you will.  I could choose to do the run portion, but that wouldn't play to my partner's (hubby's) strength.  Facing my weakness instead of doing what's easy is a good lesson for me.  I have been seeing this on a day-to-day basis in my crossfit classes.  They continuously tell me that practicing my weaknesses will make me stronger, faster, better, but I kept thinking of how this exposure would make me feel less strong, less fit, etc.  On the contrary, strengthening your weaknesses improves your overall success.  Over the last few months of crossfit, I've seen my weaknesses decrease, and my confidence in overall lifts/excerises increase.  Practicing the snatch, the overhead squat, the pull up, (just to name a few..) has given me a boost to overcome these obstacles that separate me from that next level.  Or at least take one step closer...

So- I choose to swim.  Swim for my partner, swim for strength, and swim for that next level.

Goal for today: overcome one fear/weakness that may be holding you back from greatness.  Once it's over, you'll surprise yourself on what you were able to accomplish and how you will be hungry for more!

SEE YOU IN THE WATER!!!!!!

Bruised and healed! Changing lives...
