Attitude

You've heard this before (many of you have heard me say it) but your attitude effects your performance.  Period.  If you say you can't, you won't.  Why do we even think about trying something that we've already decided we can't do?  You have already failed to reach your peak level if this thought is in your head.

This week in my Strickly Strength class was a powerful one for me.  My focus was off, my self esteem was low, and in return, my Tuesday class performance was shot.  I struggled with it in all aspects.  Hell I even messed up the rep scheme.  My coach basically laid down the law with our class, and reminded us that if we don't take our performance seriously, we don't make progress, we don't get better.  If we say we can, we will.  I have to remember why I'm here and what my goals are.

For the rest of the week, I focused on the task at hand and kept my goals in the front of my mind.  My Thursday class was ten times better than Tuesday.  I had a 10 lb jump on back squats and felt good about handling that sandbag!

It adds so much value to stay present in the present.  Commit yourself to the tasks that you are faced with, without distraction or a negative attitude.  Believe in yourself, you are capable of more than you think, so start thinking that way!
